Asmaa Hassan

Asmaa Hassan is a clinical pharmacist, having graduated from the University of Sydney with an industrial pharmacy major, and further pursuing a postgraduate qualification in Advanced Practice Pharmacy with the University of Technology Sydney. She is also a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and The Society of Hospital Pharmacists Australia.

She has a keen interest in preventative, patient-centred, holistic health intervention, pain, diabetes, heart health, deprescribing, systematic quality improvement and data-driven health improvement.

Asmaa’s previous roles and areas of interest have included:

• Professional Services Pharmacy including as a sleep apnoea pharmacist, weight-loss consulting, compounded medicines, opioid replacement therapy and cannabis dispensing.
• Pharmacist Immuniser including COVID-19, influenza and travel vaccinations
• Medication reviews to improve the quality use of medicines
• Pharmacist prescribing including urinary tract infections and oral contraceptive pills.
• Leading and implementing Quality Care Pharmacy Programs for the quality provision of pharmaceutical services
• Health Promotion leading group education sessions with the elderly
• Casual academic with the University of Technology Sydney
