Our Practice Team

At Mt Druitt Medical Centre, we have a strong commitment to team based care, which allows us to better care for each person's individual care needs. For this reason we have assembled an experienced team of different health professions. The team at our practice is highly integrated, with regular reviews and team conferences to better tailor treatment for each of our patients. We currently have 5 General Practitioners, a Dietician, Exercise Physiologist, Psychologist, Counsellor and Clinical Pharmacist, working at our practice.

Dr Kean-Seng Lim Dr Lim is a specialist General Practitioner, having graduated from Sydney University and obtained further qualifications as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He joined the practice in 1996.

Dr Lim has done further training in sports medicine, and has interests in nutrition and lifestyle. Among other things, he has been a Clinical Lead with the National E-Health Transition Authority, is one of the developers of the schools based obesity prevention and lifestyle education program - SALSA, with which he remains heavily involved.

Dr Lim's current roles include:

  • Guest lecturer with the University of Western Sydney School of Medicine
  • Trainer with the General Practice Training Program
  • Board Member of Western Sydney Medicare Local


  • Dr Teng-Kiong Kek Dr Kek is a specialist General Practitioner. He graduated from University of Western Australia in 1980. He was a medical resident at Royal Perth Hospital for 2 years. He moved to Sydney for family reasons and worked at Blacktown Hospital from 1982 to 1984 with lots of experience in emergency medicine and minor surgeries.

    Dr Kek was invited to join the medical practice in 1984. He has vast experiences in all aspects of General Medicine and has special interest in Diabetes Mellitus, Men and Women Health.
    Dr Vivienne Sharma Dr Sharma is a specialist General Practitioner, having graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales and obtained further qualifications as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She joined the practice in 2012. She has been heavily involved in medical education and Emergency medicine, and continues to work at Windsor Hospital Accident and Emergency Department. She likes walking on the beach.
    Dr Natalie Cochrane Dr Cochrane is a graduate of Sydney University, having completed a Bachelor of Medical Science followed by her Medical Degree. Following completion of her medical degree, Dr Cochrane worked in the Westmead Children's Hospital, where she completed a Diploma in Child Health. She joined our team in 2014, where she completed her advanced training in General Practice and is now a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has a keen interest in childrens health and paediatric medicine in addition to chronic disease management.
    Dea Krismarietta Dea is a Dietitian, who joined this practice team in 2013. Dea graduated from the University of Sydney with Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics. She provides the following services: Individualized nutrition counselling; Diabetes education (Group and Individual); Blood pressure, cholesterol and other chronic disease education, etc. For more information, please visit the website www.grainddiction.wordpress.com
    Daniel Parker Daniel is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. He graduated from Edith Cowan University in 2008 with a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and the University of Western Sydney in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science (Sport and Exercise Science). Daniel has been working as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist for the past 8 years and brings a lot of experience with a variety of conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, mental health problems, cancer, arthritis, pulmonary disease and more.     What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist?

    Accredited exercise physiologists (AEPs) hold a four-year university degree and are allied health professionals. An AEP specialises in graded exercise therapy and lifestyle interventions for persons at risk of developing, or with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries. AEPs provide support for clients with conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, mental health problems, cancer, arthritis, pulmonary disease and more.
    Mala Sharma Mala is a fully Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and a Board endorsed Supervisor. Mala is also registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRHA). She holds qualifications in Psychology, Education, Nutrition Research and Counselling. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a member of the Mental Health Professionals Network in the Hills District.

    She is an approved Medicare Provider of Psychological Services, an approved Work Cover NSW Provider of Psychological Services, a registered counsellor with the Victims Services of NSW, Registered provider with the Access to Allied Health Services (ATAPS), registered psychologist with Defence Force of Australia and with most Private Health funds.
